our trusty man from paris - antoine husson - returns to afu limited after a very successful 2009 with formidable releases on high profiled labels such as cocoon recordings, skryptom, scandium, kondens and last but not least afu limited ! this time he delivered more than a bomb with the keep it new track, that is already played by richie hawtin in his sets and surely more to follow pretty soon ! it s uplifting, exciting, building and boiling stabs take the atmosphere to the limit and will do it s big damage on the dancefloors for sure! blondeble is a great minimal techno track with all it needs to keep a crowd pleased and freak out and mozinor rounds it up for this excellent first release on afu limited for 2010!

story continues its immaculate run of bottom-heavy deephouse with 4 special treats from this british underground figure that make an earthquake like introduction to the scene with 3 anonymous 12inches only that are already sought after and destined to become collectors items. an acid house veteran that followed the whole uk rave progression to harder techno, he harks back to his early influences with his productions by building his dense, jacking slo-mo house grooves around hip-hop and soul samples. cuts like >the rub< or >dh13< and take their time to slowly sneak-up on you casting a bigger and bigger shadow until you are totally immersed in the smoky, dub-filled atmosphere that has a similar feel to the psychedelic soul of motowns norman whitfild or the rzas mystic hip-hop soundscapes. >whobadu< trades for 4/4 pattern for a looser, handclapping 80s funk groove that should cross-over into the box of every more discerned hip-hop dj, while >olufeme< is a stripped down, fela style afro groover with mighty dubbed-out horn loops. four tracks that will keep all you dancers, booty shakers and headnodders happy for a long time

lil tony is hotter than hot. while starting to dj and produce years ago, tony has been a staple in the scandinavian club scene since the early 90s. an amazing dj (actually one of the favourites around the moodmusic hq) and a talented producer, tony started with the fbi project with roberto rodriguez and kimmo oksanen before dropping some serious damage on raw trax vol. 1 last year on moodmusic. caned by everyone from luciano (he edited his own version of semble) to dj hell, tonys raw grooves cut the crap and moved people when other producers had to take a leak. hardworking, never forgetting his gentleman manners, tony is here to stay and raw trax vol. 2 is a bold new statement, and his best work to date. solid state takes the classic detroit influenced drum machine vs piano theme a step forward, a impeccable jam of 15 minutes with the beat keeping the pace, this has been roadproofed the last 6 months to good effect. the b-side karamba is a dry, tight driven tech-workout, perfect mixtool for the deeper techno as well as housier sets. it just works well. the closing checkpoint charlie is a tale of >lost in helsinki< – dark mean bass wanders around and gives space for the chuggin main line, monotonic body music at its best.

one of the most in demand tracks from the >technique< album finally gets a full single release complete with re-fixes from prosumer and kruse & nuernberg. ernestos vocal fully lends itself to the prosumer soundsignature, his mix floats and weaves around ernestos vocal, peaking around his own chords before stripping things back to bare essentials and rebuilding like only he can. the kruse& nuernberg mix is hypnotic, percussive old school house music at its best. they take a small snippet of the vocal and build the groove relentlessly until the whole room is shaking. achim brandenburg aka prosumer lives in berlin where he is resident at panorama bar, weaving together the finest blend of soulful house sounds. an expert in classic chicago house and detroit techno, his first release was in 2004 on 240 volts, followed by playhouse and ostgut, where he released his debut album with murat tepeli in 2008. separately, hamburg based florian kruse & nils nûrnberg have created some of the most interesting deep house around in the past few years, with early highlights incl nils >caught a glimpse< on 8bit, and florians >love hurts< release on om records. since then, as solo producers, but more importantly together as kruse & nûrnberg they have climbed closer to the tree-top with their unique brand of mouth-watering underground house.

tevo howard is the new unsung hero of chicago house music! after his debut 12 for hhyr move, tevo now delivers a six track double pack. all six tracks are warm, emotional, raw, hypnotic, long and deep tracks and take us back to the original vibe of chicago house music. though his tracks are heavily inspired on the early days, his productions sound very crisp and ‘today. we love tevo!

okains dj career kicked off back in 1999, when at the tender age of 15 he began spinning regularly at parties. influenced by french legend laurent garnier, it wasnt long before he was offered his first residency. since then, he has gone on to play at the hottest of paris nightspots, including the rex club and social club. through playing at the now famous dimuschi parties he teamed up with paul ritch. after some time studying in sound engineering, the pair released their first ep under their handycraft alias on kickboxer. since the success of that >le bal masque< ep, okain has gone on to release on labels including robotronic, bpitch control, four twenty, tsuba, quartz and of course jetaime, and has been fully blooded in the art of touring. gigs have flooded in, and his travels have seen play many of europe s finest nightspots. his >blackrock< ep on quartz earlier this year found fantastic success with so many of you, and today our good friend is back, with the awesome >acrobat<.
the original sees okain take the warm, techy path. a lo-slung groove leads us into the melodic strings. matched with sharp efx, strong beats and a demonic laugh, this is a sure fire winner. first on remix duty is label head alex dee. toughening proceedings, alex creates a driving, somewhat tribal work out. relentless beats work brilliantly with the now chopped vocal, to create dramatic tension that builds to a crescendo in the break. a fantastic mix. a great package already, and one that just got even better with the edition of daniel mehlharts incredible rework. the frankfurt producer is hot property right now, and this mix showcases perfectly just why. deep, warm and moody, with huge helpings of classic detroit touches, the originals strings are accompanied by weighty synth stabs, to stunning effect. essential.

minor love features 14 brand new tracks from americas number 1 greatest singer!. minor love found green enlisting the talents of rodrigo from little joy and other hanger ons, like his brother joel (and look a likes joe steinbrick and greg from megapuss). the album showcases a tender side of the often arrogant and emotionally unavailable bully / singer, green. in a total state of isolation, green attempted to play nearly all the instruments on the record, due to incurable social phobias which plagued him. apparently the inspiration for this album lies in greens fatalism - you might want to take that with a pinch of salt though!

rotterdams legendary discohouse producer mark du mosch presents his debut release for cyber dance records in the shape of the cold sweat ep. consisting of five outstanding tracks that take us from the near italo disco bliss of now or never to the classic dutch lo fi electro sounds of revenger, on to the searing intensity of the system and the title track then rounded off beautifully with the deep chi house vibes of satical, this is not an ep to be missed. already getting rotation plays on intergalactic fm and called by moustache label impresario david vunk one of the best techno records of the year, we cant speak highly enough of this totally rocking record.

pornographic is back in the scene after the special celebration picture disc for its 25th release. now we have new for 2010: the 28th special cut. complete with pornographic artwork like we are used to from the label we have a very special release by luxembourgs vic miranda and toni moreno. vic has a wicked line-up of releases out there and coming up on labels like naked lunch and more. this track is a perfect example of his dancefloor ortientated techno with a funky influence. cristian varela liked it so much he remixed it for the second track of this ep! on the flip we find the funky mambo sound of toni moreno. this is definitely a man to follow in the future if you are into this style techno. funky edits and infectious vocals take you on a trip from start till end! tip!
